The primary objective of the Queensland New Business Initiative is to:
Increase the success rate of new Queensland businesses by connecting them with reputable suppliers;
Promote local trade by providing local suppliers with the contact details of new local businesses; and
Provide an effective marketing tool to Queensland suppliers
What do you mean by supplier?
'Supplier' refers to a business which provides a service that would assist a new Queensland business in starting up. Examples include:
Printing (business cards, stationery)
Administration (bookkeeping, accounting)
IT Services (web design, computer technicians)
Advertising (local directories, trade directories)
Business Systems (photocopiers, phone systems)
Trade Associations (Chartered Accountants, Law Society, Retailers Assoc.)
EXCLUSIVE SUPPLIER POLICY
The Queensland New Business Initiative only offers new business information to one supplier per district. This is to ensure that new businesses are not inundated with offers, detracting from the main purpose of this initiative.
Where does the new business information come from?
The new business information is in the public domain and obtained from the Queensland Office of Fair Trading. You can see the relevant privacy policy found on the Queensland new business registration form via the link below.
